Hornsea Zone
Location: Hornsea 03 is located in the North Sea, approximately 120 km off the Norfolk coast and 160 km off the Yorkshire coast. Hornsea 04 being 69 km off the Yorkshire coast.
Size: Hornsea 03: Up to 231 offshore wind turbines will be located within a 696 km2 area. Hornsea 04: Up to 180 turbines over an area of 492 km2.
Power output: The wind farm will be capable of generating at least 2.85 GW of green electricity, enough to meet the average daily needs of well over 3 million homes. Hornsea 04 adding a further 2.6GW of power.

Project Scope:
Project Scope:- Provision of Survey Manager/Deputy Project Manager to Hornsea 03 and Hornsea 04 development projects between March 2018 and July 2020
- Provision of Offshore Supervisors (Client Representation) for Hornsea 02, Hornsea 03 and Hornsea 04 geophysical survey campaigns between 2019 and present
- Further to the original project remit, Hydrofix also provided survey consultancy to support the Ørsted HOW02 and BSW02 projects
Responsibilities and Services Encompassed:
- The project responsibilities and services delivered included managing technical, commercial and HSE aspects
- Project management & geophysical technical support to the Site Investigation Project Manager and Technical Lead
- Contract management of site investigation surveys (geophysical, geotechnical, UXO) including scope of work preparation, tender evaluation & award and Contractor QHSE document review and implementation
- Management of Offshore Supervisors
- Contractor survey data, report QA and sign off
- Support to environment, consent and commercial teams for licence applications
- Support to fisheries liaison team
- Developing new strategy of collaborative site occupancy reducing the expenditure on fisheries clearance
- Survey consultancy supporting other Ørsted projects (HOW02 / BSW02)
- Provision of Offshore Supervisors
